With the "Paylink" tool, you can quickly create personalized payment pages for your customers. They will receive an email containing the link to their personal, pre-filled payment page, enabling them to make secure and fast payments with just a few clicks.

Creating a Paylink

The following instructions will guide you on how to create a Paylink with a personalized payment page in Payrexx.

Ensure that you to your Payrexx account before you begin.

  1. Navigate to Paylink in the main menu of your merchant administration.

  2. Click the green "Create" button in the top right corner.

  3. Now you can customize the Paylink.

Configuring the Paylink

General settings

In the upper section of the window, you will find the following configuration options available:

  1. Description: If you activate the corresponding checkbox, you can add a description that will appear below the subject on the payment page.

  2. Amount: Enter the currency and the amount that the customer should pay.

  3. Attachments: Optionally, you can upload up to three files. Images will be displayed directly on the payment page, while PDFs can be downloaded from the payment page.

  4. Expiration Date: Choose whether the payment link should expire on a specific date. In the example above, the customer would not be able to make a payment after October 31, 2024.

  5. Customized Page Title: Enable the toggle to choose a custom page title. If not, the default title "Paylink" will be used. This title will be displayed at the top of the payment page.

  6. Customize Pay Button Text: The default text on the payment button is "Pay." By activating the toggle, you can customize the text on the payment button to your preference.

Payment information and form fields

In the middle section of the window, you can make the following settings:

  1. Payment Service Providers: If you select "All," your customers can use all the payment methods you have activated in your Payrexx account. By clicking on "Custom," you can enable and disable individual payment providers, thus limiting the available payment methods.

  2. Form Fields: Define which information customers must fill out before they can pay. You can also pre-fill the selected fields for your customers.

Shipping settings and advanced options

In the final step, you can configure the shipping settings for the Paylink, among other options:

  1. Email Address: The Paylink will be sent to this email address. If you wish to enter multiple recipients, you can separate them with commas.

  2. Add Additional Recipient Information: By checking this box, you can enter the customer's personal information so that it appears on the personal payment page, and the customer does not have to fill it out themselves. The payment page is accessible only through the individual link that the customer receives, ensuring data privacy.

  3. Send: If you select "Send as Email," a green "Create and Send" button will appear at the bottom of the page. Clicking this button will save and send the Paylink to the customer. If you want to create the Paylink but not send it yet, select "Send Later." In this case, the Paylink will be created when you click "Create" at the bottom of the page.

  4. Language: Choose the default language in which the payment page should be displayed.

  5. Email Subject: Choose a meaningful subject line for the email containing the Paylink for the customer.

  6. Replies to: You can enter an email address here to which any customer replies will be sent. If left blank, replies will be sent automatically to the email address of the Payrexx user who created the Paylink.

  7. Message: Optionally, add a message to the email with the Paylink to the customer.

  8. Resend After / Max Number of Attempts: Here you can define if and after how many days the email with the Paylink should be resent to the customer if the Paylink remains unpaid. You can also define the maximum number of resend attempts.

  9. Send a Test Email: Would you like to see how the email looks before sending it to the customer? Enter your own email address and send yourself a test email.

  10. Advanced Options: Optionally, define an item number, an external reference, or a unique order number. To learn more, hover over the information icon.

The Paylink from the Customer's Perspective

The customer receives the Paylink via email. By clicking on the Paylink, the individual payment page opens:

Inserting Parameters into the Link

Payrexx offers the ability to enrich the link leading to the payment page with additional parameters for further customization. In the following article, you will learn which URL parameters are available and how to insert them into the link:

Importing Paylinks

If you want to create a large number of Paylinks, you do not need to enter each one individually in Payrexx. Instead, you can use the Payrexx import function:

The data you want to import can be entered in a CSV or XLSX file. Use the first column for headers and enter the data for each Paylink starting from the second row:

Please note the following guidelines when creating the import file:

  • The columns "Email," "Title," "Amount," and "Currency" are mandatory.

  • Currencies must be specified in ISO format (EUR, USD, CHF).

  • Languages must be specified in ISO format (en, de, fr, it).

  • The expiration date must be provided in the format d.m.Y. Click the link below to download an import file and use it as a template:

After you have created the import file, you can upload it. Please select the file and then click the green button "Go to the next step":

In the next step, you can assign the columns from the import file to the fields in Payrexx. On the left side, in the "Paylink" column, you will see all the fields available in Payrexx. On the right side, in the "CSV" column, you can select the column from your import file whose values you want to assign to the corresponding field in Payrexx.

If you do not wish to import certain data from your import file, select the "Not imported" option, as shown in the example for the phone number below:

In the final step, Payrexx will show you a preview of the import:

After that, you can begin the import by clicking "Start now".

Exporting Paylinks

You can export the Paylinks recorded in Payrexx to a CSV file. To do this, click the "Export" button:

Purpose: The purpose will appear as the subject on the payment page. Click on "Multilingual" if you want to capture the information in . If you want the customer to define their own purpose, enable the corresponding checkbox.
