WeChat Pay is a Chinese payment system that allows users to make online payments, pay bills, make purchases, and send money to friends via their smartphones.

WeChat Pay is one of the most popular payment systems in China, but it is also offered by numerous merchants outside of China to cater to tourists from China.

## Country Availability

WeChat Pay is available within [Payrexx Pay Plus](https://docs.payrexx.com/merchant/english/payment-provider/payrexx-pay). The payment method is therefore available to merchants based in :flag\_ch: Switzerland, :flag\_li: Liechtenstein, :flag\_at: Austria, :flag\_de: Germany, :flag\_it: Italy, :flag\_fr: France, :flag\_lu: Luxembourg, :flag\_dk: Denmark, and :flag\_bg: Bulgaria:

## Fees

The transaction fees vary depending on the Payrexx [plan](https://docs.payrexx.com/merchant/english/account/settings/plan-and-billing) you choose. For more information, please refer to our [pricing overview](https://payrexx.com/en/prices).

## Setup

Please note that you must be [logged](https://login.payrexx.com/en) in to Payrexx before you begin. If you do not have an account yet, please [register](https://signup.payrexx.com/en/email-validation/) with Payrexx.

To receive payments via WeChat Pay, you simply need to activate the payment method in your Payrexx account. Follow these steps:

* Navigate to **Payment Providers** in the main menu of your merchant administration.
* Click on "Configure" next to Payrexx Pay Plus:

* Scroll down a bit and check the box next to "WeChat Pay":

* Complete the configuration by clicking "Save" at the bottom right of the page.

The payment method is activated. Your customers can now pay with WeChat Pay.

## Payment with WeChat Pay From The Customer's Perspective

In this section, you will learn how a payment with WeChat Pay works.

1. The customer fills in the required fields and selects the payment method "WeChat Pay":

2. The customer completes their details by adding the email address and account holder's name, then clicks on the green "Pay" button:
