## General Information

Klarna is a Swedish payment provider that offers various payment options for online purchases. With Klarna, customers can choose to pay immediately, at a later time, or in installments.

Merchants from Switzerland and other European countries can activate Klarna within [Payrexx Pay Plus](https://docs.payrexx.com/merchant/english/payment-provider/payrexx-pay) with just one click.

### Industry Availability

Klarna is available to merchants in most industries. However, the payment method is not available to merchants in the following business categories:

* Merchants whose business is listed under [prohibited business models](https://docs.payrexx.com/merchant/english/the-first-steps/account-verification/prohibited-business-models)
* Non-profit organizations
* Political organizations, parties, or initiatives
* B2B

## Fees

The Visa transaction fees vary depending on the Payrexx [plan](https://docs.payrexx.com/merchant/english/account/settings/plan-and-billing) you choose. For more information, please refer to our [pricing overview](https://payrexx.com/en/prices).

## Payment Options

Klarna generally offers the following payment options:

* **Pay Now:** The customer pays for the purchase immediately.
* **Pay Later:** The customer pays for the purchase within 30 days.
* **Pay in 3 or 4:** The customer pays for the purchase in three or four interest-free installments.
* **Financing:** The customer pays for the purchase over an extended period of up to 36 months.

The availability of each payment option depends on the customer's country, transaction currency, and purchase amount.

To receive payments via Klarna, you simply need to activate the payment method in your Payrexx account. Follow these steps:

* Navigate to **Payment providers** in the main menu of your Payrexx account.
* Click on "Configure" next to Payrexx Pay Plus:

## Paying with Klarna from the customer's perspective

* The customer selects the Klarna payment method in the checkout process by clicking on the corresponding logo:

For payments with Klarna (Payrexx Pay Plus), only the payment option "Pay now" is possible. The options "Purchase on invoice" and "Pay later" are not supported.
