In this article, you will learn how to integrate the TWINT payment solution as an external payment provider in Payrexx in order to accept payments.

With the TWINT payment app, customers in Switzerland can pay conveniently and securely using their smartphone – whether online or at the point of sale. With more than 5 million users, TWINT is Switzerland’s leading payment app.

TWINT within Payrexx Pay

Swiss merchants with a verified Payrexx account can activate TWINT within the Payrexx Pay payment provider and benefit from the following advantages:

  • Attractive conditions with fees of only 1.25%

  • Convenient processing and an "all-in-one" solution thanks to integration into Payrexx Pay

  • Payouts made directly by Payrexx

TWINT as an external payment provider

Swiss merchants without a verified Payrexx account can integrate TWINT as an external payment provider in Payrexx. Further information can be found in the Setup section.

Setup

Please follow the instructions below to integrate TWINT as an external payment provider in Payrexx.

Configuration of TWINT

  • Register with TWINTarrow-up-right.

  • After registration, log in to your TWINT account.

  • Navigate to Stores in the main menu and click the "Add" button under "Online shop":

  • For method of integration, select "PSP" and for payment service provider, select "Payrexx":

  • Configure the appropriate settings in the following form:

  1. Category: Select the appropriate entry for the industry in which you operate.

  2. Sub-category: Select the corresponding entry for the sub-category of your industry.

  3. Name of store: Enter the name of your shop (e.g., Demo Shop).

  4. Address: Enter the company address associated with the shop.

  5. Website: Enter the shop’s URL.

  6. Confirmation: Confirm that your website meets the listed requirements.

  7. Logo: Optionally, upload your logo.

  8. Payout acccount: Provide the bank account where TWINT payouts should be transferred.

Click "Next" to proceed to the next step, verify that all information is correct, and if so, confirm by clicking "Save":

  • Navigate to Stores in the main menu.

  • Click the edit icon for the shop you want to connect:

  • Copy the displayed UUID to the clipboard, as you will need it in the next step.

Configuration of Payrexx

Make sure you're logged inarrow-up-right to your Payrexx account before you begin. If you don’t have a Payrexx account yet, you can registerarrow-up-right now.

  • In the merchant administration of your Payrexx account, navigate to Payment Providers.

  • Under "Alternative payment methods", click "Show".

  • Click "Setup" next to TWINT:

  • If you do not yet have a TWINT account, you can create one by clicking "Yes". Otherwise, select "No, not now":

  • Configure the TWINT integration according to the illustration below:

Entering the Store UUIDs to connect Payrexx and TWINT
  1. Mode: Choose whether you want to receive live payments directly via TWINT or test the payment provider first.

  2. Productive account settings: Paste the Store UUID for the live account, which you copied during the configuration of TWINT, into the "Store UUID" field.

  3. Test account settings: Paste the Store UUID for the test account, which you copied during the configuration of TWINT, into the "Store UUID" field.
