Performing Transactions

This page provides information on how your customers can make payments using the terminal, including options for credit cards, TWINT, cryptocurrencies, and NAKA cards.

Transactions with credit card

Customers can pay with a credit card at the terminal in three ways: contactless, with the chip reader, or via the magnetic stripe. To accept credit card payments, follow these steps:

  1. Open the Payment App in the main menu.

  2. Enter the amount to be paid using the keyboard.

  3. Press "Continue."

  4. Select the payment method "Card."

  5. The customer can either place the credit card on the terminal, insert it into the chip reader on the right side of the terminal, or swipe it through the magnetic stripe reader on the right side.

  6. Press "Finish" to complete the transaction.

When using the chip reader, the customer must enter their PIN code; the other two methods do not require a PIN.

Transactions with TWINT

  1. Open the Payment App in the main menu.

  2. Enter the amount to be paid using the keyboard.

  3. Press "Continue."

  4. Select the payment method "TWINT."

  5. The customer can scan the displayed QR code with the TWINT app to complete the payment.

  6. Press "Finish" to complete the transaction.

Transactions with cryptocurrency

To allow a customer to pay with their crypto wallet, proceed as follows:

  1. Open the Payment App in the main menu.

  2. Enter the amount to be paid using the keyboard.

  3. Press "Continue."

  4. Select the payment method "Crypto."

  5. The customer then selects the cryptocurrency and network they wish to use for payment.

  6. The customer presses the green button.

  7. The customer opens their crypto wallet and scans the displayed QR code.

  8. The customer completes the payment by clicking the blue button.

Transactions with NAKA Card

To facilitate a payment using a NAKA card, follow these steps:

  1. Open the Payment App in the main menu.

  2. Enter the amount to be paid using the keyboard.

  3. Press "Continue."

  4. Select the payment method "NAKA Card."

  5. The customer can use their NAKA card in the same way as a credit card.

Transactions with other payment methods

In this case, the customer simply needs to scan the QR code displayed on the terminal, which will redirect them to your payment page, showing all the payment options you have activated in your Payrexx account. Some of the payment methods you can offer include:

Can the customer give a tip through the POS terminal?

There is currently no dedicated tipping function available. However, we are working on providing such a feature in the future. Until then, you can manually increase the amount you enter in the Payment App by the tip that the customer wishes to give.

Please note that you will not be able to see in your Payrexx account which part of the transaction was the tip and which part was the price for the goods or services.

In which currencies can customers pay?

Your customers can pay in the currencies you selected when ordering your terminal. The options available were CHF and/or EUR.

Please note that it is not technically possible to switch between the two currencies as needed or per transaction.

When will I receive the payouts for the transactions?

To enable a customer to pay with , follow these steps:

If you want to change the currency permanently, please contact our .

The amounts from the POS transactions will be added to the e-commerce transactions and paid out together. Therefore, the payout interval will be the same as that for your e-commerce transactions. You can find more information in the article about .
