Here you will learn how to set up and manage payment providers in Payrexx to enable your customers to pay with various payment methods.

Definition

A payment provider or payment service provider (PSP) is a company that handles the processing of online payments between merchants, customers, and financial institutions.

The payment provider offers the merchant various payment methods that the merchant’s customers can use to make payments.

Payrexx's In-House Payment Providers

Payrexx has two in-house payment providers:

To use Payrexx Pay and/or Payrexx Pay Plus, you only need a contract with Payrexx. This allows you to automatically receive payments from your customers through all the following payment methods without the need for additional contracts:

Setting up Payrexx Pay and Payrexx Pay Plus

To set up one of Payrexx's in-house payment providers, please follow these instructions:

Once you have activated Payrexx Pay and/or Payrexx Pay Plus, you can configure them under Settings > Payment Providers (1). Additionally, you can download the merchant agreement you have signed with Payrexx (2):

External Payment Providers

In addition to activating Payrexx Pay and Payrexx Pay Plus, you also have the option to integrate external payment providers into Payrexx. In this case, as a merchant, you will not sign a contract with Payrexx but directly with the respective payment provider.

Setting up external payment providers

The external payment providers available in Payrexx are categorized into three areas:

Payouts

Transactions received through payment methods from Payrexx Pay or Payrexx Pay Plus will be paid out to your bank account by Payrexx. Transactions from external payment providers’ methods will be paid out directly by the respective payment provider.
