In this article, you will learn how to integrate the VERD.cash payment solution as an external payment provider into Payrexx, enabling you to accept payments through it.

General Information

VERD.cash is a Swiss prepaid payment card launched in 2025, allowing customers to make payments at all existing card terminals—just like using a debit or credit card.

What sets VERD.cash apart from other card solutions is its unique fee distribution model: 50% of the transaction fees are allocated to a local development fund, directly benefiting the municipality where the purchase was made. The remaining 50% goes into a national pool managed by the VERD cooperative, which supports charitable and community-focused projects.

Setup

Please follow the instructions below to integrate VERD.cash as an external payment provider in Payrexx.

Requesting the contract offer

Make sure you're logged in to your Payrexx account before you begin. If you don’t have a Payrexx account yet, you can register now.

  • In your Payrexx merchant administration dashboard, navigate to the Payment Providers section.

  • Scroll down to the "Add new payment providers" area and click on "Show" under "Alternative payment methods".

  • Search for VERD and click the green button to set up the payment provider:

  • In the window that opens, click the button "Yes, I want an offer":

  • Complete all fields in the following form and click "Request offer now".

After submitting your information, you will receive a merchant name, merchant ID, and terminal ID from VERD.cash within a few days.

Configuration of Payrexx

  • Log in to your Payrexx account and navigate to Payment Providers from the main menu.

  • Scroll down to the "Add new payment providers" section and click "Show" under "Alternative payment methods".

  • Search for VERD.cash and click the "Setup" button.

  • When asked whether you want to request a contract offer from VERD, select "No, not now".

  • Then, fill out the form fields as follows:

Configuring VERD.cash in Payrexx

  1. Mode: Choose whether you want to start accepting live payments immediately or operate VERD.cash in test mode first.

  2. Payment methods: Activate the checkbox next to the VERD.cash logo.

  3. Merchant name: Enter the instance name of your Payrexx account. This is the first part of your Payrexx URL. For example, if your URL is example.payrexx.com, your instance name is example.

  4. Merchant ID: Enter the merchant ID provided to you by VERD.cash.

  5. Terminal ID: Enter the terminal ID provided to you by VERD.cash.

  6. Custom label: Optionally, enter an alternative label that will be shown to customers instead of "VERD.cash".

  7. Custom logo URL: Optionally, upload a custom logo to be displayed to customers instead of the default VERD.cash logo.

  8. Save: Click the green button to complete the configuration.

The setup of VERD.cash in Payrexx is now complete.
