In this release, various existing features have been optimized and API interfaces and new functions have been implemented in Payrexx, which we present to you in this article.
Invoices created with the Invoice Tool are now sent with a SCOR reference number instead of a QR reference so that they can also be paid by international customers.
The Structured Creditor Reference (Ref Type SCOR) has the same function as the QR reference; it simplifies the allocation of a payment in accounting with an identification number that is unique for each transaction. The only difference is that its calculation follows a different logic. In addition, it can be used in international payment transactions, while the QR reference is limited to the Swiss franc payment area (Switzerland and Liechtenstein). A prerequisite for the use of SCOR is the simultaneous use of the IBAN.
You can find step-by-step instructions for creating a QR invoice in the Invoice Tool support article.
With QR Pay, retailers can simply receive payments on site using a QR code. Customers simply scan the code with their cell phone camera or directly with the TWINT app and pay using their preferred payment method. And as a merchant, you benefit from exclusive transaction fees thanks to the collaboration with Visa: Only 1.25 % + 0.00 CHF per payment.
This enables flexible and automated management of VAT changes – for example, in the event of changes to the tax rate, changes to your customers' location or incorrect VAT details.
When a transaction export is triggered, retailers now automatically receive an email with a download link to the file as soon as it is ready for download.
This means that the export can be downloaded conveniently and without long waiting times – even for large amounts of data.
Invoices now comply with the EU-wide standard X-Factur (EN 16931). This means they are available as structured XML files and can be processed automatically in many accounting systems without manual input or conversion.
If a payment fails due to 3D Secure (3DS), the exact reason is now displayed directly in the transaction detail view. This helps with analysis and support if a customer was unable to complete a payment transaction.
All possible payment statuses and reasons for failed payments can be found in the support article on payment statuses of transactions.
The Payrexx payment pages are now fully accessible. This means that they are easier to read and use for people with disabilities, screen reader users or users with motor impairments.
CembraPay will soon be integrated into Payrexx as an additional external payment provider. Cembra Pay is the leading purchase on account provider in Switzerland and enables purchase on account, with or without partial payments.
