  2. Instance Name: Copy the displayed instance name to your clipboard, as you will need it later in WooCommerce.

  3. Enter Shop Address: Enter the URL of your shop in this field. If your shop is not in the root directory (https://my-website.xy) but in a subdirectory, please provide the full path to your shop. Example: https://my-website.xy/shop

  1. Webhooks: Specify whether a failed webhook should be retried or not. If this checkbox is activated, the system will attempt to resend the webhook up to 10 times. The retry intervals are 5 minutes, 15 minutes, 1 hour, 2 hours, 4 hours, and then every 24 hours thereafter.

Payress settings in WooCommerce
  1. Platform: Select the platform you are using. Usually, this is Payrexx.

  2. Instance Name: Enter the instance name that you can find in Payrexx under API & Plugins > WooCommerce > Configuration.

Please enter only the instance name, not the full domain:

  • Instance Name: example

  • Domain: example.payrexx.com

  1. API Key: Enter the API key that you can find in Payrexx under API & Plugins > WooCommerce > Configuration.

  2. Look & Feel Profile ID: If you have multiple Look & Feel profiles in Payrexx, you can specify which one to use by entering the desired profile ID here. If you only have one Look & Feel profile, you can leave this field blank.

  3. Prefix: This field only needs to be filled in if you are a Payrexx platform customer managing multiple shops within one Payrexx account. Each shop plugin sends an order ID as a reference to Payrexx. The prefix ensures that Payrexx knows which shop the transaction belongs to.

Configuration of payment methods

  • Navigate in your WordPress account to WooCommerce > Settings.

  1. Description Checkbox: Enter a description which the user sees besides the checkbox to activate recurring payments for a subscription. The checkbox is only shown if the feature is active and a subscription has been purchased.

  2. Save Changes: Click on the blue button to save your settings.

Subscriptions

To allow your customers to purchase subscriptions during checkout, you need to install and activate the plugin "Subscriptions for WooCommerce":

For subscriptions, there is a distinction between automatic and manual renewals:

Automatic renewal

The payment method provided by the customer is automatically charged when a new subscription payment is due. Automatic renewals are only supported by certain payment methods.

Manual renewal

The customer receives an email with a payment link when a subscription payment is due. Manual renewals are supported by all payment methods available in Payrexx Pay and Payrexx Pay Plus.

For more information on automatic and manual renewals, please refer to the WooCommerce documentation:

If you do not want to allow recurring payments, you can disable the subscription feature under WooCommerce > Settings > Subscriptions.

Customer modifications

Payrexx does not make any modifications to customer data in WooCommerce. If a customer is deleted or their subscription has disappeared, this may have been caused by the Subscriptions for WooCommerce plugin or manually by a WordPress user.

Refunds

To refund the full or partial amount of a transaction to a customer, please follow these steps:

Refunds and Partial Refunds

After you have completed the refund in Payrexx, it will be automatically communicated to WooCommerce and displayed accordingly in the order.
