The following guide will show you how to integrate Payrexx into WooCommerce.
Navigate to the API & Plugins section in your Payrexx merchant administration.
Under "Add e-commerce integration", click on "Show all".
Click "Add" next to WooCommerce:
In the next window, configure the following settings:
API Key: Copy the displayed API key to your clipboard, as you will need it later in WooCommerce.
Instance Name: Copy the displayed instance name to your clipboard, as you will need it later in WooCommerce.
Enter Shop Address: Enter the URL of your shop in this field. If your shop is not in the root directory (https://my-website.xy) but in a subdirectory, please provide the full path to your shop. Example: https://my-website.xy/shop
Please make sure that you enter the shop URL correctly. Any discrepancies (e.g. using http:// instead of https://) can cause errors in webhook processing.
Webhooks: Specify whether a failed webhook should be retried or not. If this checkbox is activated, the system will attempt to resend the webhook up to 10 times. The retry intervals are 5 minutes, 15 minutes, 1 hour, 2 hours, 4 hours, and then every 24 hours thereafter.
Finalize: Click the green "Activate" button to finalize the configuration.
Navigate in your WordPress account to Plugins > Add Plugin.
Search for the plugin "WooCommerce Payrexx Payment Gateway".
Click on the "Install Now" button:
Click on the blue "Activate" button:
Navigate in your WordPress account to WooCommerce > Settings.
Click on the "Payrexx" tab.
Fill in the fields according to the following instructions:
Platform: Select the platform you are using. Usually, this is Payrexx.
Instance Name: Enter the instance name that you can find in Payrexx under API & Plugins > WooCommerce > Configuration.
API Key: Enter the API key that you can find in Payrexx under API & Plugins > WooCommerce > Configuration.
Prefix: This field only needs to be filled in if you are a Payrexx platform customer managing multiple shops within one Payrexx account. Each shop plugin sends an order ID as a reference to Payrexx. The prefix ensures that Payrexx knows which shop the transaction belongs to.
Save changes: Click the blue button to complete the configuration.
Navigate in your WordPress account to WooCommerce > Settings.
Click on the "Payments" tab and make the following settings:
Activating and deactivating payment methods: To enable or disable a payment method, click on the three dots and then on "Enable" or "Disable".
Manage: Click on "Manage" next to the desired payment method to make further settings:
Enable/Disable: Decide whether this payment method should be available during checkout.
Title: Specify the title or name of the payment method.
Description: Optionally, enter a description of the payment method.
Enable/Disable Subscriptions: Choose whether this payment method can be used for subscriptions (recurring payments).
Description Checkbox: Enter a description which the user sees besides the checkbox to activate recurring payments for a subscription. The checkbox is only shown if the feature is active and a subscription has been purchased.
Save Changes: Click on the blue button to save your settings.
To allow your customers to purchase subscriptions during checkout, you need to install and activate the plugin "Subscriptions for WooCommerce":
The payment method provided by the customer is automatically charged when a new subscription payment is due. Automatic renewals are only supported by certain payment methods.
The customer receives an email with a payment link when a subscription payment is due. Manual renewals are supported by all payment methods available in Payrexx Pay and Payrexx Pay Plus.
For more information on automatic and manual renewals, please refer to the WooCommerce documentation:
Payrexx does not make any modifications to customer data in WooCommerce. If a customer is deleted or their subscription has disappeared, this may have been caused by the Subscriptions for WooCommerce plugin or manually by a WordPress user.
Please note that refunds and partial refunds must be performed in Payrexx. Refunds initiated in WooCommerce are not communicated to Payrexx.
To refund the full or partial amount of a transaction to a customer, please follow these steps:
After you have completed the refund in Payrexx, it will be automatically communicated to WooCommerce and displayed accordingly in the order.
