# Barzahlen/viacash

## General Information

Barzahlen/viacash is an independent payment infrastructure in Europe that allows cash deposits and withdrawals via barcode at retail checkout counters.

## Setup

Please follow the instructions below to integrate Barzahlen/viacash as an external payment provider in Payrexx.

### Configuration of Barzahlen/viacash

Create an account in the Barzahlen/viacash [Control Center](https://controlcenter.barzahlen.de/#/account/signin) to begin the integration.

#### Add Division

Navigate to **Settings > Divisions** in your Barzahlen/viacash account and click on "Add Division":

#### Enter required information

* Enter your company name under "Division Title".
* Add the link to your website under "Division URL".
* Copy the URL <https://dispatcher.payrexx.com/> and paste it under "Notification URL" and "Sandbox Notification URL".
* Then click on "Save".

Copy the Division ID and API key from your Barzahlen/viacash account to your clipboard. You will need these values for the next step.

### Configuration of Payrexx

Make sure you're [logged in](https://login.payrexx.com/) to your Payrexx account before you begin. If you don’t have a Payrexx account yet, you can [register](https://signup.payrexx.com/) now.

Log in to your Payrexx account and navigate to **Payment providers > Alternative payment methods**. Click "Setup" next to "Barzahlen/viacash".

Then, paste the previously copied Division ID and API key into the corresponding fields:

#### Adding the bank account

Next, edit the division in your Barzahlen/viacash account and add your desired bank account under **Settings > Bank accounts > Add new bank account**:

Finally, you need to verify your identity at any post office branch using the "Gelbe Identifikation". You can use the coupon from the support page to complete this identification process free of charge. Once the identification is successfully completed, Barzahlen/viacash can be activated immediately.

The form for the "Gelbe Identifikation" can be found at the end of this guide.

## Testing

Activate the [test mode](https://docs.payrexx.com/merchant/english/payment/testing) in your Payrexx account to test the process. In your Barzahlen/viacash account, you can simulate actions such as transactions and payments by clicking on the various actions under **Transactions > Sandbox Transactions** (on the right under "Actions").

Once you have finished testing the process, change the mode from "Test" to "Live" in your Payrexx account and finalize a cooperation agreement with Barzahlen/viacash.
