Setup
In this section, you will learn how to install the plugin and configure it on both Payrexx and Shopify pages.
Installation
Open the plugin installation link or click on the link on the presentation page in the App Store.
Select the store you want to install the app to.
Click "Install" in the upper-right corner to initialize the installation process.
Next, you will see an overview of the Payrexx Payment App. The app requires certain access rights. Click on the "Install" button if you agree with the app accessing this data.
Following the installation, you will be redirected to the configuration page (on the Payrexx side) of the plugin. For authentication, you will need to enter the following information from the Payrexx dashboard or your platform's dashboard:
URL of the platform (e.g. payrexx.com)
Instance name *
API-Key (see section "Configuration - Payrexx")
Save the values by clicking the "Save" button in the bottom right-hand corner. * The instance name is the name of your Payrexx account. You will find it at the beginning of the URL when you are logged into your account: INSTANCE.payrexx.com.
If the entered data is correct, you will be redirected to the next configuration page. Here, you can choose which payment methods you want to make available in your shop. These settings will only affect the display of payment methods at your shop's checkout. The display of payment methods in the payment gateway is configured in the Payrexx dashboard (see point 7).
Open the payment provider and payment method settings of your Payrexx account. Only select the payment methods that have already been selected in Shopify (point 6). If this is not the case, you may see more payment methods in the payment gateway than at the checkout in the shop. In this article, you will find an example of how payment methods can be configured within the Payrexx account for Payrexx Pay and Payrexx Pay Plus.
Configuration of Payrexx
Log in to your Payrexx account.
Navigate to API and Plugins and add a new Shopify integration from the e-commerce section.
Enter your Shopify store URL (ending with myshopify.com) and activate the new integration. You will need the Payrexx "API Key" and "Instance Name" during the plugin configuration step.
Configuration of Shopify
During installation, you will be guided through all configuration steps. If you wish to update settings at a later time, you can do so at the following locations:
Payment Method Configuration: Settings > Payments > Payrexx
Plugin Configuration: Settings > Payments > Payrexx > More Actions > Manage
Refunds
Refunds should only be created through the Shopify admin dashboard. This ensures that the information is synchronized between both platforms. When processing a refund, ensure to complete the action within Shopify to maintain accurate and consistent records across your systems.
