With PointsPay, customers can use their loyalty points as a payment method for online purchases. This enables merchants to enhance customer loyalty and generate additional revenue.

Setup

This article explains how to integrate PointsPay as an external payment provider in Payrexx to receive payments.

Configuration of PointsPay

  1. Log in to your PointsPay account.

  2. Create a new shop.

  3. Configure the shop as follows:

All other settings can be adjusted as desired.

Please leave the three fields under Redirect URLs blank.

  1. Note the values of "Shop Code" and "Access Token" that you find in your PointsPay account, as you will need to enter them later in Payrexx.

Request the "Access Token" from PointsPay support if you have not yet received it.

Configuration of Payrexx

Make sure you're logged in to your Payrexx account before you begin. If you don’t have a Payrexx account yet, you can register now.

  1. Log in to your Payrexx account and navigate to Payment Providers > Alternative Payment Methods.

  2. Click on "Setup" next to PointsPay.

  3. Choose whether you want to use PointsPay in test mode or live mode (1).

  4. Enable the desired currencies (2).

Currency and test/live mode settings

  1. If you want to use PointsPay in live mode, enter the "Shop Code" and "Access Token" under "Productive Account Settings".

  2. If you want to use PointsPay in test mode, enter the "Shop Code" and "Access Token" under Test account settings.

The "Shop Code" from PointsPay is referred to as the "Merchant Code" in Payrexx.

  1. Click the "Save" button at the bottom right.

The setup of PointsPay in Payrexx is complete.
