Prohibited Business

Prohibited Business
There are business models that are not supported by Payrexx Direct and Payrexx Swiss Colleting. This is based on legal principles (product offerings that are not permitted or only permitted to a limited extent), as well as models with a high risk of default.
We ask that you ensure that your business is not intended to provide any of these services. If you have any questions or are unsure, we will be happy to help you personally.
By registering with Payrexx Direct, you confirm that you will not use any of the business activities below to receive payments.
Please note that the types of companies listed are representative but not entirely listed.

The following services count as unsupported business models:

1. Financial and Professional Services

Investment & Credit Services
  • Securities brokers, mortgage consulting or debt reduction services
  • Credit counseling or repair
  • Real estate opportunities
  • Lending instruments
  • Crowdfunding
  • Neobanks / Challenger banks
Money and Legal Services
  • Money transmitters, check cashing, wire transfers, money orders
  • Currency exchanges or dealers; bail bonds; collections agencies
  • Law firms collecting funds for any purpose other than to pay fees owed to the firm for services provided by the firm (e.g., firms cannot use Payrexx Direct to hold client funds, collection or settlement amounts, disputed funds, etc.)
  • Bankruptcy lawyers
Virtual Currency or Stored Value
  • Virtual currency that can be monetized, resold, or converted to physical or digital products and services or otherwise exit the virtual world (e.g., Bitcoin)
  • Sale of stored value or credits maintained, accepted, and issued by anyone other than the seller

2. Regulated or illegal products and services

Gambling

  • Lotteries, auctions, sports predictions or odds
  • Fantasy sports leagues with cash prizes
  • Internet games, gambling
  • Competitions, raffles

Regulated Products and Services

  • Marijuana dispensaries and related stores
  • Online pharmacies for medications
  • Products and services with different legal statuses depending on the state
  • Age restricted goods or services
  • Toxic, flammable and radioactive materials
  • Weapons, ammunition or other weapons such as knives, explosives or etc (gunpowder, firecrackers and related goods)
  • Telecommunications manipulation equipment, including jammers
Adult Content and Services
  • Pornography and other obscene materials (such as literature, images, videos and etc.) depicting nudity or explicit sexual acts
  • Sites offering sex-related services like prostitution, escorts, pay-per-view, adult live chat features
  • Shops for +18 videos, gentleman's clubs, topless bars, or strip clubs

3. IP Infringement Services

Infringement of intellectual property, proprietary rights or human rights

  • Selling, distributing, or accessing counterfeit music, films, software, or other licensed materials without the appropriate permission of the copyright owner
  • Products or services that directly infringe or facilitate infringement of any third party's trademark, patent, copyright, trade secret, or proprietary or privacy right
  • Any business or organization that engages in, encourages, promotes, or celebrates unlawful violence or physical harm to persons or property, or engages in unlawful violence against any group on the basis of race, religion, disability, gender, sexual orientation, national origin or other unchanging characteristics involved, encouraged, promoted or celebrated

Counterfeit or unauthorized sale of goods

  • Unauthorized sale or resale of branded/designer products or services
  • Selling goods or services that are illegally imported or exported.

4. Unfair, predatory, or fraudulent practices

Get rich quick schemes

  • Investment opportunities or other services that promise high rewards

Posting mug shots or paid websites

  • Platforms that facilitate the posting and removal of content (like mug shots)
  • If the main purpose of posting such content is to cause reputational damage or fear services without added value
  • Sale or resale of a service without additional benefit for the buyer
  • Resale of government offers without authorization or added value
  • Websites that we, in our sole discretion, deem to be unfair, misleading or predatory to consumers

5. Products or services otherwise prohibited by our financial partners

Tobacco or drug paraphernalia

  • All products that hold the sale of tobacco (cigarettes, vapes, hookah, e-liquids)
  • All services aimed at selling illegal drugs
  • All devices intended for the manufacture or use of drugs (bongs, vaporizers, water pipes, etc.)
  • Sale of CBD or THC products
  • Sale of (legal) substances which are intended to imitate illegal drugs or have the same effect as an illegal drug (e.g. salvia, kratom, etc.)

Mergers

  • Any form of licensed or unlicensed pooling of funds owed to third parties
  • Factoring or other activities designed to disguise the origin of funds

Marketing on multiple levels

  • Pyramid schemes
  • Network Marketing
  • Referral Marketing Programs
  • Negative Response Marketing and Telemarketing

Pseudo-Pharmaceuticals

  • Pharmaceuticals and other products that make health claims that have not been approved or verified by the relevant local and/or national regulatory authority

Social Media Activities

  • Selling social media activity (followers/likes, Facebook favorites, YouTube views, etc.)
  • Selling online traffic or engagement

Credits for video games or virtual worlds

  • Sale of currency in the game (exception: dealer himself is the operator of the virtual world)

Travel company

  • Travel booking or reservation services
  • Travel clubs
  • Cruises
  • Airline or private jet booking
  • Timeshare services

6. High-risk services or businesses

  • Technical computer support
  • Clairvoyant services
  • Prepaid phone cards, telephone services and mobile phones, telemarketing, telecommunications equipment
  • Drop shipping with high risk
  • Forwarding agents
  • Negative Response Marketing
  • Credit card and identity theft protection services
  • The use of credit to pay for credit services
  • Any company that we believe poses an increased financial risk, legal liability, or violates card network or bank policies

7. Use of Payrexx Direct in a manner that is inconsistent with the intended use or that is expressly prohibited in the Payrexx Service Agreement

  • Use of Payrexx intellectual property without Payrexx's express consent
  • Using the Payrexx name or logo, including using any Payrexx trademarks or service marks that are inconsistent with Payrexx or in a way that otherwise damages Payrexx or the Payrexx brand
  • Any action that implies untrue endorsement by or association with Payrexx
  • Use of Payrexx Direct mainly as a virtual terminal (e.g. transmission of card transactions by manually entering card data)
  • Bypass card network chargeback monitors
  • Disclosure of cardholder data to other merchants for the purpose of cross-selling products or services
  • Processing where no good/service is sold or no donation is accepted
