In this release, we have once again implemented exciting new features and optimisations in Payrexx, which we present to you in this article.
Recurring payments can now also be accepted with the payment provider Payrexx Pay via the Payrexx tools (API interface not required). This means that subscriptions, memberships etc. can be easily collected.
The functionality is available for all payment methods in Payrexx Pay: TWINT, PostFinance Card, Mastercard, Visa, Samsung Pay and Google Pay.
You can use the subscription feature within the three Payrexx tools Donation, Paylink and Pages, as well as via the API.
You can find out more about recurring payments in the following article:
If a payment was made via invoice, the corresponding invoice number is now also shown in the transaction export.
You can create a transaction export under Payments > Transactions > Export.
A new API endpoint has been introduced that allows you to edit customer information linked to a payment (tokenisation or pre-authorisation). This means that if a customer's email address changes, the new email address can now be updated directly via the API. Previously it was not possible to change the email address that was saved with a tokenisation, but with this new endpoint this is now possible at any time.
You can find out how tokenisation and pre-authorisation work in the following articles:
New design and format of the QR Pay poster: The QR Pay poster has an improved design and can be downloaded in A5 format for easy printing.
Customisable form fields for each QR code: The form fields in the QR Pay tool, which merchants can use to request data from their customers - such as their e-mail address - can now be defined individually for each QR payment code.
Form fields also displayed via the TWINT app: The defined form fields are now also displayed for payments via the TWINT app.
First steps in the merchant dashboard: A guide for the first steps has been integrated into the dashboard. It explains the various options for receiving the first payments and provides an introduction to the QR Pay tool so that merchants can better understand how a QR Pay code is created and what it can be used for.
Improved tool view: The view of the individual tools has also been visually enhanced with images if you have never used a tool before.
Appealing sign-up process: Finally, the Payrexx sign-up process for merchants has also been enhanced with photos. See for yourself: Sign-up
When a payment provider is in test mode, test cards are visible in the gateway, which can be used to simulate payments. This allows merchants to test the payment process without having to make real payments.
You can find out more about test mode and test payments here:
With this release, telecom invoices and insurance documents can now also be submitted for merchant verification.
You can find more information on the requirements of the verification process in the following article:
The transaction detail view now displays an overview with the links (logs) to the webhooks, API requests, emails and payouts that are related to the payment. For example, merchants can see in which payout the payment is included or which emails were sent in connection with the payment.
You can find the transaction detail view by clicking on the relevant transaction under Payments > Transactions.
The "buy now, pay later" payment method bob invoice will be discontinued as of May 1 due to a strategic realignment of bob Finance. We have already informed the affected merchants.
To ensure that you can continue to offer your customers the flexibility and convenience of invoice and instalment payments in the future, Payrexx offers several alternative payment methods: purchase on invoice, HeyLight and Ideal Payment.
