With PostFinance Pay, PostFinance is introducing a new payment method for online stores to replace the two previous payment methods "PostFinance Card" and "PostFinance e-finance". There is no longer any need to use the PostFinance Card or the reader to process transactions in the online store. Customers will be able to process transactions easily and conveniently via the PostFinance app. This improves the customer experience and lays the foundation for optimizing the conversion rate.
The customer starts a payment, selects PostFinance Pay as a payment method and is redirected to the PostFinance app. He can then authorize the payment there. After confirmation in the PostFinance app, the purchase is completed and the customer is redirected back to the store.
Alternatively, customers can use their PostFinance card to make a standard Mastercard payment and enter their credit card details as usual, as all PostFinance cards are now also Mastercard debit cards.
As a merchant, you can see the transactions made in your Payrexx account under Payments > Transactions.
Make sure you are logged in with Payrexx before you start. No account with us yet? Click here to register.
In order to apply for PostFinance Pay, the payment provider Payrexx Pay must be set up.
In your merchant administration, navigate to Payment provider > Payrexx Pay > Configure and activate PostFinance Pay by ticking the corresponding box:
Save the new setting and you're done. The PostFinance Pay payment method is now activated for your customers and visible in the checkout.
