Release 2024.09

New features, enhancements and updates that Payrexx has implemented in the July 16, 2024 release.

In this release, we have implemented exciting new features and optimizations in Payrexx, which we present to you in this article.

Optimisations

QR Pay Optimisations:

  • Individual selection of payment providers per QR code: Merchants can now select which payment providers should be visible for each generated QR code. This allows the payment methods offered to be customised depending on the use case or target group. The selection can also be customised after the QR code has been created.

  • Order details for promotional material orders: From now on, merchants can view the order details for their promotional material (QR code stickers and table stands) directly in the detailed view of each QR code. This provides a quick and easy overview of the associated orders and their status.

You can find all the information on how to create QR payment codes in the following article:

New names for Payrexx Swiss Collecting and Payrexx Direct

As part of the reorganisation, Payrexx has renamed its two payment services:

  • Payrexx Swiss Collecting is renamed Payrexx Pay and

  • Payrexx Direct is renamed Payrexx Pay Plus

These name changes are intended to increase the clarity and user-friendliness of the offers. The available payment methods and the country availability of the two providers remain the same. Payrexx Pay (formerly Payrexx Swiss Collecting) remains the proven all-in-one payment service for Swiss merchants, while Payrexx Pay Plus offers additional payment methods and country availability.

*Payrexx Pay is only available for Swiss merchants.

In the following article you can read all the details about Payrexx Pay and Payrexx Pay Plus, as well as their integrated payment methods, functionalities and country availability:

UTRUST is renamed xMoney

The external payment provider UTRUST is now called xMoney. Despite the name change, the service remains unchanged and continues to offer simple integration of cryptocurrencies and digital payment methods for merchants.

Function for automatically repeating failed webhooks

Merchants receive a new function for automatically repeating failed webhooks. Webhooks enable the automatic exchange of information such as orders and payment data between Payrexx and the shop system of the online shop (e.g. Shopify). To ensure that these are delivered reliably even in the event of technical faults such as network problems, merchants can now activate the option in the plugin configuration under "API & Integrations" that failed webhooks are automatically executed again at regular intervals*. This ensures that the information about the orders (e.g. whether an order has been paid) is correctly transferred from Payrexx to the shop system.

*If the delivery of a webhook fails, the delivery is retried up to 10 times. Intervals to the previous attempt: 5 minutes, 15 minutes, 1 hour, 2 hours, 4 hours, then 24 hours in each case.

In the following article you will learn how to set up webhooks:

Updated PayPal integration

The PayPal integration of Payrexx has been updated and improved. With the latest technology, Payrexx merchants are well equipped for future developments and new payment requirements, making long-term planning and customisation easier.

The new PayPal integration now also offers even more advantages to companies with complex business models and different payment flows. Payments to multiple partners or service providers can be distributed automatically and precisely — ideal for marketplaces and co-operations. This saves companies valuable time and significantly reduces administration costs.
