In this article, you will learn how to integrate the VERD.cash payment solution as an external payment provider into Payrexx, enabling you to accept payments through it.

General Information

VERD is a Swiss prepaid payment card launched in 2025, allowing customers to make payments at all existing card terminals—just like using a debit or credit card.

The key difference compared to other card solutions: With VERD.cash, 50% of the transaction fees flow directly into the local municipal fund — that is, into the residents' community of the purchasers — thereby benefiting the local population. The remaining 50% goes into a national pool managed by the VERD cooperative, which supports charitable and community-focused projects.

Setup

Please follow the instructions below to integrate VERD as an external payment provider in Payrexx.

Requesting the contract offer

Make sure you're logged in to your Payrexx account before you begin. If you don’t have a Payrexx account yet, you can register now.

  • In your Payrexx merchant administration dashboard, navigate to the Payment Providers section.

  • Scroll down to the "Add new payment providers" area and click on "Show" under "Alternative payment methods".

  • Search for VERD and click the green button to set up the payment provider:

  • In the window that opens, click the button "Yes, I want an offer":

  • Complete all fields in the following form and click "Request offer now".

After submitting your information, you will receive a Merchant ID, a Terminal ID ECOM, and a Terminal ID QR within a few days.

Configuration of Payrexx

  • Log in to your Payrexx account and navigate to Payment Providers from the main menu.

  • Scroll down to the "Add new payment providers" section and click "Show" under "Alternative payment methods".

  • Search for VERD and click the "Setup" button.

  • When asked whether you want to request a contract offer from VERD, select "No, not now".

  • Then, fill out the form fields as follows:

  1. Mode: Choose whether you want to start accepting live payments immediately or operate VERD in test mode first.

  2. Payment methods: Activate the checkbox next to the VERD logo.

  3. Merchant name: Enter the instance name of your Payrexx account. This is the first part of your Payrexx URL. For example, if your URL is examplecompany.payrexx.com, your instance name is examplecompany.

  4. Merchant ID: Enter the Merchant ID (MerchantId) provided to you by VERD.

  5. Terminal ID ECOM: Enter the Terminal ID ECOM provided to you by VERD.

  6. Terminal ID QR: Enter the Terminal ID QR provided to you by VERD.

Click the green "Save" button to complete the configuration.
