Release 2026.02

New features, enhancements, and updates implemented by Payrexx with the release on February 10, 2025.

This release includes various improvements for webhooks as well as for the overall user experience.

Optimizations

Enhanced security for webhooks thanks to signatures (secrets)

Webhooks are now more secure. For every webhook that merchants create in the backend, an individual signature (secret) is automatically generated and sent with every webhook request.

This allows the receiving system to verify that the request really comes from Payrexx and has not been manipulated en route. This increases security when processing payment and status information.

Send webhooks only to specific integrations

Configured webhooks can now be linked specifically to individual integrations (API keys). This means that webhook notifications are only sent to the systems that are intended to receive them – for example, only the online shop system is notified of successful payments, and other systems such as accounting are not.

This prevents unnecessary webhook calls and makes integrations clearer, which ensures greater control, clarity, and security in payment processing, especially when multiple systems are connected.

Change of paying bank from Bivial to Banking Circle

For bank transfers and payouts, we switched from Bivial to Banking Circle as our settlement bank at the beginning of January. For CHF payments, everything will remain the same for the time being; the change will take place after a short transition period.

Nothing will change for your payouts. The only difference is that Banking Circle in Liechtenstein may now appear as the sender bank for payouts. The recipient bank for purchase invoices will also change to Payrexx Pay. However, amounts, payout processes, and timing will remain unchanged.

New “First Steps” display after sign-up

After signing up, merchants now see an improved view for the first steps. It guides them step by step through the onboarding process, shows their progress in percent, and makes getting started with Payrexx clearer.

Steps can be skipped if necessary and completed later, and the view clearly shows which tasks are still pending (e.g., verify account, select payment method, complete setup).

The new design makes onboarding more intuitive and faster, and merchants know immediately what to do.
