Metrics

In the Metrics section of your Payrexx account, you will find various time-based reports on the development of subscriptions, cancellations, renewals, and upgrades/downgrades.

In the upper part of the window, you can select the year for which you want to display the metrics and choose which year you want to compare it with. In the following example, the year 2024 is compared with the year 2023:

1. Number of subscriptions at the beginning of the month

This section displays the number of active subscriptions at the beginning of each period. Paid subscriptions are shown first, grouped by product. Below that, free subscriptions are also displayed, grouped by product.

2. New subscriptions

In this section, you can see how many subscriptions were added during each period. The grouping is the same as described in point 1.

3. Cancellations

This section deals with subscriptions that were canceled during a specific period. It is divided into the following areas:

  • Refunds: Number of paid subscriptions refunded to the merchant during the respective month.

  • Cancellations (chargeable): Paid subscriptions that were canceled during the respective month.

  • Cancellations (free): Free subscriptions that were canceled during the respective month.

  • Termination Rate: The termination rate is calculated by dividing the number of cancellations in month X by the number of subscriptions at the start of month X. For example, if there were 100 subscriptions at the beginning of the month and 5 were canceled by the end of the month, the churn rate would be 5%.

4. Renewals

This section displays the number of subscriptions that were renewed during the respective period. The grouping is the same as described in point 1 and 2.

5. Upgrades

This section displays the number of subscriptions that were upgraded during the respective period. An upgrade occurs when the merchant switches from their existing plan to a more expensive plan.

6. Downgrades

This section displays the number of subscriptions that were downgraded during the respective period. A downgrade occurs when the merchant switches from their existing plan to a cheaper plan.

7. Active customers

This section displays the number of customers who have received at least one payment during the respective period and were therefore active.
