# Crypto ## General Information With the payment method Crypto, you can accept customer payments in cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Polygon. Transactions are processed via the blockchain and paid out to your bank account in your local currency (e.g., CHF). For more information, please refer to our [pricing overview](https://payrexx.com/en/prices). ## Setup {% hint style="info" %} Please note that you must be [logged](https://login.payrexx.com/en) in to Payrexx before you begin. If you do not have an account yet, please [register](https://signup.payrexx.com/en/email-validation/) with Payrexx. {% endhint %} To accept payments via Crypto, you must first request and then activate the payment method in your Payrexx account. Please follow the steps below. #### Requesting the payment method * Navigate to **Payment Providers** in the main menu of your merchant administration. * Click on "Configure" next to Payrexx Pay:

* Scroll down to the section Request New Payment Methods. * Check the box for Crypto (1) and click Apply (2).

Processing the request may take several business days. {% endhint %} #### Activating the payment method Once Crypto has been set up for you, you only need to activate the payment method in your Payrexx account. To do so, please follow these steps: * Navigate to **Payment Providers** in the main menu of your merchant administration. * Click on "Configure" next to Payrexx Pay. * Scroll down and check the box for Crypto:

* Complete the configuration by clicking "Save" at the bottom right of the page. {% hint style="success" %} The payment method is now activated. Your customers can now pay with cryptocurrencies. {% endhint %} ## Payment with Crypto from the customer’s perspective * At checkout, the customer selects Crypto as the payment method:

* The customer enters their personal information – in the example below, the email address – and clicks "Pay":

* The customer selects the network they want to use for payment: * Bitcoin BTC network for payments in Bitcoin * Tether USDT network for payments in Ethereum and Polygon

* The customer enters their personal information, accepts the terms of service, and clicks "Continue":

* Finally, scan the displayed QR code and complete the payment on your smartphone.
