# Tokenizations Tokenization refers to the storage of a credit card for future payments. The credit card data is saved as a token for both the customer and the merchant. ## Creating a Tokenization The following article shows you how to create tokenizations in Payrexx: {% content-ref url="../../payment/functionalities/tokenization" %} [tokenization](https://docs.payrexx.com/merchant/english/payment/functionalities/tokenization) {% endcontent-ref %} ## Viewing Tokenizations To view the created tokenizations, navigate to **Payments > Tokenizations** in the main menu of your merchant administration:

### Payment Status * The status "Uncharged" means that a tokenization has taken place, but the amount has not yet been charged. * The status "Charged" means that the amount has been collected, and the card can be charged recurrently in the future. Afterwards, you can proceed with the charge:

1. **Amount/Charged:** the amount (EUR 80.00) and information on how much has already been charged (EUR 0.00) 2. **Date:** the date the tokenization was created 3. **Create Charge**: the button to charge the amount Click on the "Create Charge" button, which will open the following window:

1. **Amount:** Specify the amount. 2. **Number:** Specify how many times the charge should be made. 3. **Charge custom amount:** Specify a custom amount, which can be less than the displayed amount but not greater. To proceed with the charge, click the green "Charge" button. {% hint style="success" %} The tokenization has been successfully charged. {% endhint %} ## Deleting a Tokenization You can delete a tokenization by clicking the corresponding button in the detailed view:

## Additional Functions ### Execute webhook If you have set up a [webhook](https://docs.payrexx.com/merchant/english/account/webhooks) in your Payrexx account, you can send tokenizations to the webhook URL recorded under [API and Plugins](https://docs.payrexx.com/merchant/english/account/api-and-plugins). To do this, open the detailed view of the desired tokenization and click on "Trigger webhook":

### Exporting Tokenizations To export the list of created tokenizations to a CSV file, click the "Export" button at the top of the page:
